Cheryl's art is rooted in classical realism. Her portraits, still-life, landscapes and wildlife are typically expressed in oil on canvas and capture the 'essence' and visual story of the subject.

To honour the many artists in her family, her studio name "ObliNick" is the blended recreation of Oblinski-Nickerson.
